"Acceptance, my cute grandchild. It's called "Giving Up"."
- —Sousuke's quote, Tokyo Xanadu
Towa’s grandfather and a priest at the Kokonoe Shrine. Sousuke is also Kou’s grandfather on his mother’s side of the family. Although he has a strict air about him, he’s actually calm and playful. He’s the head of the family Kokonoe-style jujitsu, which has been passed down from generation to generation, and is a proven martial artist. Prior to Kou’s admission to high school, he taught his grandson martial arts. He often praises his hardworking granddaughter, Towa, but often comes down hard on Kou who is just doing part-time jobs. That said, he cares deeply for his grandchildren.
